We were walking past the shoe stall where Darren got some trainers a while ago when I spotted some trainers that looked a lot like Sketchers but were priced at £15. I tried them on and they were actually wide enough for me so I got a pair to put by for the summer.
On the way home we spotted a sign for a craft fair at the Floral Hall so, despite the rain, I decided to take a walk up there. I didn’t buy anything for myself but got a little hand made beer for Tina, she has a few and this one was Joseph with his coat of many colours!
Took a couple of pictures on the way, one spring like and one definitely wintry..
On the way home I bought some drinking glasses in the charity shop and while inside I spotted this time brooch for just £1.
Back home the cats were in so I went and put mealworms out for the birds. Noticed that the carrots I put in the grow bags are beginning to show.
Yesterday I made a jelly cake from a recipe in the three ingredient book. It needed to be in the fridge over night. We had it for dessert today, it turned out quite well.
Watching the new Midsomer Murders this evening.
Funky gloves. You’ll be like Freddie Kruger 😊 Clawing weeds up should be interesting.
ReplyDeleteThe trainers look good quality for £15. Perfect for the summer, if we get any this year. The weather has been so up and down lately that there’s no telling.
Looks like today has been a bargain spotting day, with shoes and the cute broach. Bet Tina liked the bear too.
If those carrots catch up quickly you can make something with homegrown carrots and mushrooms!
The dessert looks nice. Actually looks like an egg custard.
Not a bad day, had a really sore throat in the night and expected the worst but not feeling too bad.
ReplyDeleteSome bargains and a walk, so all good.
