Photo overload

This morning we decided to have a drive out to Aberfeldy the scenery and the low clouds made my quite snap happy, I have deleted some!

We had a walk round Aberfeldy, a pretty town.

We had breakfast at a cafe called Piece, it was very good but we loved the loo sign, and inside the loo was quite spectacular.

Tina decided to go via the Hermitage on the way back, some more interesting clouds and scenery.

We walked up the Ossians Hall and obviously took photos but then we went round a couple of slightly scary paths to get some shots from different angles.

When we got home we shared a piece of cake that we bought at the cafe and watched a bit of snooker. Some chores this afternoon and opened a parcel from Ringtons which had a ridiculous amount of paper pckong, they could have used a box half the size!
Some chores done and now some tv.

Quiet day

I put the two painted plates I kept up in my sitting room this morning as I was going through some bits to see if I could find homes for. Tina and I walked into Dunkeld to a Friday coffee morning. It was busy and very noisy in there so hard to have a decent conversation. It was a bright morning so took a photo on the way home.

The brightness made the scenery seem much darker than it did to the naked eye. When we got back I was not in the mood for finding homes for things so did a rough drawing of the bonsai tree stand I hope the shed carpenter will make for me.

Tina has emailed a picture of it to him. He will be coming back some time to finish thr work on one of the doors so will hopefully discuss it with him then. After lunch I went to the post office which is in the village shop. The mobile pizza van was setting up, it apparently comes on Fridays and serves from 3pm.

I had a chat on the phone to Sher which was nice. Early evening I walked over to the art centre library with Tina and we both became members. Your membership up here entitles you to access to magazines and newspapers which is great. We ordered a pizza on the way home and Tina collected it after fifteen minutes. I didn’t have my phone with me so Tina took a couple of pics of the trees for me.

The pizza was tasty. A quiet evening now.

Lunch in Pitlochry

This morning Tina was unpacking and displaying her ornaments and I was on a mission to reduce the boxes of sentimental stuff. We were going to Pitlochry to have lunch with Tina’s aunt but we had to wait until the tree surgeons cutting down an elm tree had a break as the branches were falling on the road we go out by. But we did get going in good time. The first picture has got a tree surgeon on, honestly! Then some photos taken on our way.

Tina’s aunt wasn’t feeling too well today but she had set out a lovely buffet style lunch. We enjoyed our meal and stayed chatting for a while. We drove up to the dam as Tina wanted to get Darren a replacement ruler! We had coffee and cake and took some photos.

Then one more on the way home.
We both carried on with sorting and rearranging before having tea. A relaxing evening now.

Bit off colour!

Tina left for the train soon after seven, and I pottered round for a bit. I want feeling 100% and when I looked at how much stuff I still had just about everywhere in my bedroom that didn’t improve how I felt! We have a lot of boxes ready to go to the charity shop and they were very chaotic as we just kept lobbing things in! I had put one of my big cases out as I have two and only need one, so I filled it with cushions, throws etc out of the boxes. Then I repacked them so they are more manageable. I decided to walk into Dunkeld and have some lunch, on the way there I was thinking about my belongings and decided that the jilting stuff hd to go. I had linch at The Coffee Break, it was very busy and I sat on a high stool for a while waiting for a table. The wit was worth it, I had an open egg mayonnaise sandwich with salad and coleslaw and it was really delicious. I liked the salt and peppers too.

I was weary walking back so was gong very slowly, don’t think I could have speeded up if my life had depended on it! Back home I did manage to reduce my sewing stuff from two boxes to one and emptied some more boxes s well, so now the charity pile is considerably bigger.
I watch Heartbeat as usual and had a drink with Tina when she returned from her long day in Edinburgh.
So will finish with three photos she sent me. Don’t ask me to explain the last one!

Lunch group in Dunkeld

This morning Tina went off to get the car serviced, can’t remember where but a fair drive away. I decided to get my last box out of Darren’s room, it was a bit jammed in but I managed. It had an ornament of baby otters and by Peter Rabbit storage boxes. I love those boxes but I haven’t got room for them so I took them to the arts centre and they were happy to have them as toy boxes in the Peter Rabbit exhibition.

A bit later I got ready to walk to Dunkeld to go to a lunch session that happens fortnightly for people to go to socialise. The room was pretty full when I got there and the couple of people that I recognised were at a table that had no spaces. So I joined four other ladies who were friendly and we had soup and dessert and then tea and cake. I took some photos on the way.

The allotments near the bridge are very tidy, everything here seems to be kept tidy.
Ii walked up to the shops when I left as I have two pairs of Jens which I really like but they have no pockets. I like to have pockets so I decided to make some patch pockets and wanted to find some material. I went into a a homewares shop and spent ages looking at tea towels in strong fabric. Decided on this floral one!

I took a couple more photos on the way back.

Sitting in here with the cat this afternoon my fused glasses pieces were catching the light a bit, lthough it was a clouded sun.

When Tina got home we had a cuppa nd then I walked with her to the station a she is going to Edinburgh tomorrow. The bridge is pretty rusty.
Before we returned we wandered a bit, the burn was quite lively and another little bridge there.

We think we may have discovered a different route to the Hermitage, fingers crossed.
We had dinner when we got back and re both having a easy evening,
