This morning I caught the bus up to Freeport. It was wet and cold today, looked almost like sleet at one point. I saw Aimee and anew member of staff called Alison at the craft outlet. Had a cup of tea with them. Luckily it was dry when I walked home. I was tired and achey, really haven’t felt too well this week, but I called in at Tesco on the way home.
This afternoon I got the sewing machine out and started to assemble the quilt, I hadn’t quite finished the top when I took this picture, but I have now but will have to leave it for now. I underestimated the amount of the backing material I needed so will have to get some more on Monday.
Darren and I may have a shortened trip tomorrow as the weather forecast isn’t good.
The quilt is going to be lovely. The materials all go together well. Someone is going to be really pleased you’ve made that.
ReplyDeleteSounds like a quiet..ish day compared to your normal ones. You really could do with a few days just relaxing around the house or you’ll never feel better. But I know how stubborn you are so I don’t expect you’ll do anything of the sort 😊
Fingers crossed the nutty man isn’t put off by the rain tomorrow 🤞🏻
He said the nutty man wasn’t there last week so fingers crossed he will be tomorrow.
ReplyDeleteWill hopefully get some more of the same material or one that blends in on Monday so that I can get on with the quilt.
