Miles has a nice little car now, just has to pass his driving test and he is away.
I also took a walk up to the post office, so it has been a good step week! Anya and Isobel came to collect me and I really enjoyed watch her swimming lesson, she is now in the deep end and is jumping in. The downside it is so hot where you watch that you come out cooked! Went back to there house to have lunch, took this picture of Isobel before they dropped me off in town.
I walked through the town, bought a few bits and took a couple of pictures, one in the square and one in Queensgate before I caught the bus up to Morrison’s.
I was pretty pooped by the time I got back to Rachel’s but after a rest I took Cookie out for another walk to the park.
Had a nice bath to relax and couldn’t get the plug out, had to get out to find something to dislodge it and then climb back in as the shower screen stopped me just reaching in to the plug!
Just relaxing now, Cookie will get on the settee with me and sleep on the bed tonight.
I’m not sure if I’ve ever walked through Itter park myself. I’ve walked past it hundreds of times though. If I ever walk past it in the future I’ll have to make an effort to go look.
ReplyDeleteSounds like a good day, apart from the getting hot bit in the pool. I remember very well when you and Isobel used to go swimming together. Good to hear she’s doing well.
I remember seeing that clown in the town centre several months ago. Obviously a good spot for her. I remember her well as it’s not often you see a female clown. Certainly never seen the kids ride in queensgate before. I’m getting really out of touch these days.
I had a little chuckle when I read about the bath plug incident. Just the sort of thing that would happen to me.
Enjoy your evening. I know you’ll enjoy Cookie sharing the bed tonight, assuming she actually lies still! I know how much energy she has, but several walks should have tired her a bit.
Cookie really likes the park, plenty of good places to sniff!
ReplyDeleteLovely weather today, like summer had come, think it is going to turn cooler soon.
The clown is unusual and I was surprised to see the little mini bumper cars inside Queensgate.
