Boot fair and no Nutty Man!

This morning Darren and I went off to the boot fair and market as usual. It was a bright morning but a very cold wind. The sky was different to the last few days when we arrived.
Made a very pleasant change from the grey and rain. We had a large tree made of planks of wood which we decorated downstairs last year. Today a man was selling a small one for just two pounds so I will get some cup hooks and decorate it in my sitting room this year.
I also got some large carpet tiles for 50p each and thought they would do a turn in the summer house.
We went to the market and to my dismay the Nutty man was nowhere to be seen. I get different nuts and snacks from him and have some every day. The market closes down until February next weekend and I suspect I won’t be seeing him again. Darren got a little tired of me moaning about it for the rest of the morning!
When we got home I went out to the summer house with the tiles. Ten was th exaxct number you could get in without doing any cutting. My history with sharp knives is not a good one!
This afternoon I have been sorting through Christmas gifts and getting the last few cards finished. I went to the Advent carol service and then to a Christmas supper put on by Atwick church members, a very nice meal.
Have watched the Strictly results and will get back to card and present sorting now.

  1. They look really nice skies. The second one is lovely.
What are you going to do until February without the nutty man? That’s a long time to wait. You’ll need to find a new dealer 😁 At least you got some bargains. The little tree will look good when you get it decorated. A little string of battery lights would look good on it. The carpet tiles were a good buy too. They’ll make it a little warmer underfoot when the winter hits. Looks very pleasant out there with the sun shining into it. A string of solar fairy lights would look good around the top of it.

  2. It really was a beautiful morning, chilly doesn’t seem to matter so much when the sun is shining.
I really will miss my snacks, canprobqvly find some of the stuff in the shops.
The tree is great and the carpet tiles are in very good condition.
