No nutty man again, in fact not many market stalls today and now it will be closed until the the end of January. When we got home I went out into the garden for a while to try and shift some more of the ivy.
I cut down quite a lot of those bushes too as it was hard to get to the ivy, and they were strong and very long. I couldn’t take the photo from the same place as I had another mountain of ivy in the way!
I had the bright idea of us going to the garden centre for a carvery lunch. The place was heaving! We must have been in the queue to just get our vouchers for fifteen minutes, then we had to queue again to get the food! It was worth the wait but it was manic. We had a look round at the Christmas stuff and the plants and clothes. I bought a great duffle coat, it was half price.
There were singing reindeers and a very unusual settee.
I also bought Avery small poinsettia plant, I wanted one of the unusual funky ones and the only one available was tiny. I have repotted it and it fits in the duck planter I bought on Friday.
So not a bad day and the weather was much better than forecast.
A busy day again for you. A real shame the nutty man wasn’t at the market. What will you do now? At least you still got your sausage bap. Will the boot sale still be open if the market isn’t?
ReplyDeleteLike your new coat, it looks very warm and cosy. Good job you decided to go to the carvery, even thought it was busy, or you wouldn’t have picked it up at a bargain price. The reindeer look very similar to those Tina posed with at Van Hage. I love the settee. I’ve seen similar things myself, but it’s a lot of money for a load of old jeans! Charity shop sofa and jeans and you could make your own.
The reindeer were the same I think, perhaps there is a company that supplies garden centres.like you say, I wouldn’t have seen the coat if we hadn’t gone.
ReplyDeleteNo, the boot sale stops as well, Sunday’s will seem strange!
You’ll have to cook sausage baps and sit in the summer house with Darren on Sunday mornings to eat them 😀
ReplyDeleteAnd watch the snow!
