Another challenging journey!

Today Hazel took me to the station and my train was on time and I set off at 10.18am. So far so good! The second train I had to stand for the first few minutes but then got a seat, it was pretty. I think it was Hemel station where they were obviously planning some replacement or repair,
I had a bit of lunch at Tamworth, Hazel had made me a sandwich and I got a cup of tea. Then had two trains to get to Sheffield, had to stand the whole way on the second one, it was crammed. Nearly forgot to mention the Tamworth two!
They were outside the station at Tamworth, I SO want them in our garden!
Arriving at Sheffield and four trains down was looking forward to the final leg, oh dear, a strike, no train! After being told I may have to go to Leeds and then hang about another person told me that I needed to get a train to Doncaster and then wait for another train to Hull. I got to Doncaster and found that there would be a replacement bus to Hull. Indeed ther was, and of course the rain had returned.
I was lucky enough for Tina to insist on meeting me in Hull and driving me the final part of the journey. Even got to see most of Strictly. Glad I made the trip but hopefully another time the journeys won’t be quite so eventful!

  1. Another eventful day for you. Good job you’re an old hand at this travelling business! Sounds a total nightmare to me. Really nice of the Rev to drive you from Hull though.
I really like the first pic. Not really sure why, but I just do. It looks a little sepia toned, so that might be it.
Those pigs would look perfect on your back lawn. How about a little project. Some chicken wire, a lot of patience and you could make your own 😊
