Beverley visit

This morning Tina and I had a trip to Beverley, she had a box of goodies to deliver but we had a good look round some shops and had a drink in a nice cafe when we arrived. They had a cake with fab and quite simple decoration, said it was okay to take a picture.
Got some large marshmallows when we did some grocery shopping! I got some new muffin tins and a few other bits in Lakeland and we did a bit of window shopping. Tina did manage to get a new pair of work shoes which was good.
A pleasant journey home and the weather was lovely. I had noticed how much ivy there was around th trees and bushes at the bottom of the garden when I went to put a couple of small mats in the summer house this morning, so decided to get out there for an hour.
The next picture isn’t of the same spot as I had moved the pink trolley closer to put the ivy in, also cut down a lot of the bushes,The ‘mountain’ of ivy was about as tall as me. It was getting dark when I finished so I will go out and cut it up and get it into the garden bin in the morning. We are not heading off to Peterborough until the afternoon.
I   been to visit a couple I met at the Living Well meetings this evening, had a very enjoyable couple of hours with them.
I have packed the case, just have to make sure I don’t forget any cakes or other stuff I am supposed to be taking!

  1. That is a funky cake, bit scary though!
A bit of shopping is always good. I don’t know why but when I read about the work shoes it made me chuckle. I always associate work shoes with the bob nail boot type of thing, so I now have it in my head that the Rev wears them for work 😀 I know, I’m a sad person!
That little bit of gardening looks like quite a big job, specially if it overruns into tomorrow too. The sooner it snows the better. It hide the garden and stop you doing it!
As long as you make sure you have the yellow cake with you tomorrow, that’s all that matters 😀

  3. I’ll try to make the cake more fun than scary if I do have a go!
That ivy has really taken hold, just couldn’t get some of it out without cutting it, loads more but a good start.
