Spring like day!

Good weather day, the wind had dropped a bit so it was actually not only sunny but quite warm too. Deliveries expected today so I didn’t venture far. Most exciting thing was a walk to the polling station and calling in the bank!
I thought I would get started on another part of the really overgrown front garden. I thought twice about it as my calves were particularly painful today and it lingered most of the morningl I even called in at the chemist on the way back from the polling station and asked to talk to the pharmacist. Waste of time, he just got someone to take my blood pressure! Anyway, back to the area of garden.
A lot of that is weed and there were brambles all among them too, the garden has really been neglected! Worked on it before and after lunch and the bed could still do with digging over.
A good job the council are having a trial run of collection the brown bin every week rather than fortnightly as I am filling it every week nd having to fine spots to dump more weeds!
When I went to the bank I called in at the Factory Shop next door and bought these ceramic toadstools. This probably won’t be their final place, but put them in a space for now.
The flowers I got for my birthday have opened and are really stunning.the roses are wonderful and the heads haven’t dropped. I did try the pin through the stalk just below the flower so perhaps that really works.
Tina is on a training course for a couple of days and sent a picture of the view from her room. Very nice too.

  1. It’s been a lovely day today. Sunshine here too and warmer than it has been of late. Roll on full blown summer!
A day around the house is normally good for most people as it means a relaxing day. Not for you though is it? Don’t think you know the meaning of the word relax 🙂 I know you get perverted pleasure out of slaving in the garden. It always does look better when you’ve spent some time out there though. Doesn’t seem to do the calves much good though! I like the ceramic mushrooms 🙂
The birthday flowers have done really well. Maybe the pin trick does do the job. I’ve heard of that before.
The view from the Rev’s room is nice. It’ll hardly seem like work for her 🙂
Meant to ask before. How are the sunflowers doing?
