Brew a Potion Day!

Well, all the witches out there are having a great time, brewing away, set me off to the drawing pad again!
I wrote a couple of notes and went off along Newbegin. Like a ghost town this morning what with the weather and Covid!
The garden is just getting more boggy by the day, so no gardening, have to be careful when I am out there feeding the wildlife! Talking of wildlife we were entertained for a while after lunch. I hung two new feeders up yesterday and one of them was down, probably aided by a squirrel! A seagull was dragging it across the lawn and pecking at it while another full rode shotgun chasing the crows away! I went out to hang it up again and then two confused gulls were looking up at the tree and feeling deprived!
I have done a couple of crosswords today and have cut a few more trapeziums out for the quilt, also tried to repair the two I have cut wrongly! Three more lovely bits of material, it should look really good eventually.
I got a pattern for quilted bags through the post today, things on there that I have never used before, plastic canvas for the bases and roll if zipper that you can cut to size!
Will add some photos from two years ago. A felted fox and one showing how different the area in front of the summer house was and a cute one of a robin from the summer house window.

Will finish with an obscure word.
Saturnism. ( n.) : Lead poisoning.

  1. Brew A Potion Day! I’d have guessed that one. Love your drawing to go with it, not so much brew a potion, more you drew a potion! 😊
It has been a miserable old day today, but it looks a lot more deserted up there than it does down here. I think northerners have far more sense.
I’m surprised you didn’t manage to get a pic of the seagulls trying to steal your bird feeders. That would have made a good one.
You really did choose some nice materials for that quilt. I’m looking forward to seeing it finished. Might be a while yet though. The bag pattern should be fun. I’m sure one or two of those will come in handy for pressies.
I think it was the felted fox I saw originally that led to the squirrel you made me. They are cute, as is the robin.
That’s a good word. Sounds more like it should be a word associated with something nice rather than that!

    1. More rain on the way and then snow drifts, the joys of winter!
Such a variety of special days, some funny, some really whacky, I would never have guessed it was true until I started looking them up!
They are great materials, a batik collection but yes, will be a while before it is completed!
It did sound like a nice word, something to do with space maybe!
