(v) To add an ornamental border around something.
So there you have it, may start another decorated letter!
The wind has been bitterly cold today but I have been out and about a bit more. I didn’t sleep well and am wondering if I am not getting enough exercise/fresh air. I decided to try and walk to the sea front without the sticks, although I have got my food up stick in my bag in case I begging to struggle. I have a bit of a sore throat, which is nothing unusual but was out of Tyrozet’s which I find really work for me. So called in at the chemist on my way out to be told they have been discontinued! I got some throat lozenges, but they are really not effective.
I took my time getting to the sea front, is is quite surprising how much harder it seemed without the sticks! I did get a hot chocolate and had a sit down when I arrived, which I needed as I had nearly been blown away by the bitterly cold wind!
Took a few photos, not much explanation needed although I liked the one with the very out of focus wind fame in the distance.
I was glad to get home as half way back I developed a pain in my ankle which was making me limp! I had been going to call in the shop on the way back but decided I needed to be home and get my feet up for a while!
When I got home I looked up Tyrozets on line and found some at a reasonable price and ordered three packs, that should last me years!
After lunch I went out to the greenhouse for a while and emptied sacks of mealworms and peanuts into containers. I also did go to the shop to get the milk as my ankle had stopped hurting!
Watched a couple of episodes of ‘ Watching ‘ this afternoon which is very enjoyable.
So now better see if I feel life a purfle!
Sounds like an omen to me. The word could have been invented for you. It’s a good word too.
ReplyDeleteIt has been cold today. I had to put a jumper on in the flat today, so glad I didn’t go out. It looks a bit bitter in your pics. I like the one with the out of focus wind farm as well, but my favourite is the one that follows it. They’re all good, very atmospheric of a rough day! It was nice you managed to get out, and very sensible of you to take the fold up stick just in case. Sounds like you were very close to using it on the way back. The bit of feet up time obviously did the trick if you were out again later. One day once it’s all healed and things are normal you’ll look back at this time and laugh about it, maybe 😊
Those Marple books have done you good, she’d be proud of you tracking down the Tyrozets and stocking up. Why do they always discontinue good stuff. It can be so maddening!
Enjoy your purfling. You’re as bad as me with the furtling now 😊
It is a good word, and I did purfle a bit too!
DeleteIt was good to get out despite the wind, luckily the ankle pain soon went off!
Haven’t read a Marple story today, better read one in bed later!
