Walking without sticks!

I have been walking around the house without the sticks for a few days now, and this morning I went along to the bakers and the Coop to get stuff in for lunch and managed quite well without the sticks. Took it steady but it felt good to be out without them. Took a couple of pictures of winter plants, interesting seed posed sand some nice colours.

I decided to catch the bus up to Freeport, again not using the sticks, so no plans to try and walk home. Only two other people on the but on the way up and two others on the way back as well. Had a pleasant walk up to the top, had a coffee and made my way down again. Apart from getting some socks for Darren I just got a nice mug and a soap holder.
I have done some washing today and some cleaning so getting a bit more active!
This evening I have had a go at drawing a simple monogram, will work up to more complex ones!

  1. Things do seem to be getting better as the days go by. The knee seemed like it’d never stop being painful when you first got home, but you seem to be coming along in leaps and bounds now. Literally 😊 At least you’re taking things easy, which is sensible. So easy to overdo it and then suffer the consequences for a few days. Not having to use the sticks certainly makes you feel more “normal” too. You’ll have everything sorted out and know exactly what to do when you have the other one done!
Like the little pressies you bought yourself. The mug and mat in particular are lovely. Bet hot chocolate in that would taste twice as good. I suppose really you should try honey and lemon in it 😊🐝🍋
The monogram looks plenty complex as far as I’m concerned!

  2. I felt good to be out for a couple of short walks without the sticks, feeding the birds again too so slowly getting back to more like it side to be.
I love the mug, tea tastes good in it, haven’t tried hot chocolate yet!
Enjoyed trying the monogram, will be doing a few more!
