Show and Tell at Work Day, and a warning not to be complacent!

Show and Tell at Work Day sounds fun and for a generation that didn’t have such things at school in the olden days! It is also Earth’s Rotation Day.
I have been feeling fairly pleased with my progress since the surgery, you could say a little complacent! Was Brough back to Earth with a bang this morning. I was out feeding the birds, had forgotten my phone and hadn’t taken a stick as it has been going so well. I suddenly had a shooting pain down the operated leg that made me shout out, mor than once and then I just couldn’t weight bear! Tina wasn’t looking out and was about to head off to church and I must have been two minutes or more when I just couldn’t move! It did ease off enough for me to get inside. After a while is settled down and I could walk without limping so I did have a slow walk down to the post office. I used one of the hospital sticks and had the fold up one in my bag in case I felt I needed two. Had the phone with me as well! I got back okay but then a bit later it went again, even got the ice packs out! It is still tender but I haven’t had any more really painful not able to walk moments. So hopefully just some more areas knitting together! Will make sure both stick and phone are with me in future though!! The pond round the trees in the park is quite big again now, it amazes me how the trees cope with being in water for the winter!
My puzzle magazine arrived today so I sat in the dining room and enjoyed doing a couple. Took this slightly odd photo from where I was sitting.
I have decided to decorate some letters and make them into birthday cards. First one for my friend Eileen who I haven’t seen in very many years, she lived in a local village when we were living at the waterworks when the children were very small.
Pandora may have sensed that I needed to rest as she spent a long time on my lap this evening.

  1. I wonder if morticians and sewer men do show and tell at work days. Could be fun 😊 Earth rotation day with upset the flat earthers!
I suppose we all get complacent when things start to go well for us. But we don’t all get stuck in the back garden not being able to move! Hopefully it’s nothing too drastic, just a little healing hiccup. Either that or a screw has fell out of your bionic knee! I suppose you just need to take it easy for a while and cut back on the walks and exercises. Hopefully it won’t give you trouble during the night.
You’d have thought those trees would have rotted away sitting in that water like they do. Doesn’t seem to do them much harm. Lucky really considering it end up like that every year.
That’s another nice letter. They’ll make great personalised cards. You’ve done quite a few now.
Pandora wants you to get better, so she knows she has to stop you moving around, or she just likes a bit of company while she sleeps 😊

    1. Let’s try a comment.
It was a little alarming this morning, has made me much more likely to have phone and stick at hand!
We came here in the winter and I thought that was actually a pond in the park when I first saw it.
Enjoying the letter decorating, or purfling! I enjoy have Pandora on my lap too and with this leg rest it isn’t uncomfortable.
