I had a short walk along Newbegin, posted a letter for Tina and called in the Coop on the way back. Got the garden bin in as I returned and that was it for outside apart from putting the fox food out before it got dark.
Back to the material, before lunch I cut out thirty two squares, eight each of four different material.
After lunchI sewed them into three strips.
I went down and had a cup of tea with Tina and we did a quick puzzle. The people next door gave us a chocolate hamper, quite a small basket, andBlue decided it was just the right size! We had to chase Pandora off who was determined to disturb her!
After thatI sewed the strips together and have pressed them. I did order some thin wadding so thatIcan get it assembled for some free motion quilting later.
Writing this is awkward tonight as Pandora has been stretched out down my legs for sometime now, at least with my nice leg rest I can have her there for some time with no discomfort. I might have to move her to make a drink before the drama I am watching at nine,
Today is Make Your Dream Come True Day, easier said than done I think!
Always nice to start the day with a bit of fine weather and some really nice light. Now if every day could be like that the world would be a much better place.
ReplyDeleteGlad you’ve started to do a bit of quilting again in readiness of the new machine. Sounds as though you’ll have plenty of material to test it out with. I’ve have no doubt you’ll use it all eventually in various sewing projects.
I do like the nice browns in the table runner you’re making. You’ve got a fair bit of it done today, and that’s with the old second class sewing machine! There’ll be no holding you back once the new one gets here.
Blue does look stupid and cute at the same time by squeezing into that basket 😊 I’m sure Pandora is quite comfy too stretch out on your lap.
Make Your Dream Come True Day. Now that would be nice if it actually worked.
The weather went downhill later, drizzle and then the temperature dropped so probably a frost if not snow tomorrow morning.
ReplyDeleteNice to sort through the material, hadn’t realised just how much there was!
Still reading the Agatha Christie novels, on the third one now!
Pandora stayed on me for about an hour and a half.
