Watercolour workshop and face painting!

I took a picture of the morning sky yesterday but didn’t post it.
Yesterday evening I was clearing in the bedroom and let Pandora come in with me. She was running riot and at one point tried to scale the blind which I had just lowered. When she fell off  she luckily didn’t break anything, land on the coffee trees or dislodge the blind! After that she flakes out on my bed, no way she was staying in my bedroom over night though!
Another picture out of the window this morning.
Then I was off to the third watercolour workshop, reflections this time. I enjoyed it and reasonably happy with my results today.

When I came home Tina and I went to have lunch in a pub in Skipsea. The service was a bit slow but really tasty when it arrived. There were some of the little ‘sweet shop style ‘ windows and they were catching the light to make great patterns on the wall.
This evening I went to the parish hall to help with the activities for the pumpkin trail. I was on the face painting table. We only had five different colours and they were in tubes and very greasy. I am sure that some are chalk based and easier to use. Judy tried putting a spider on my face.
She wouldn’t be painted though! We didn’t have many wanting to be painted, probably my best attempt was the snake!
Tina is still out, they were following the pumpkins through the town and having more fun at the URC.
Best go get this paint washed off!!

  1. Great morning sky shots. I wouldn’t mind getting up to that every morning, it’d be lovely.
Pandora does look cute sprawled out like that, but wouldn’t have been so cute if she’d wrecked half your bedroom. Good job you didn’t leave her in there, you probably wouldn’t have got any sleep!
I think your reflection paintings are great. The tree reflections on the last one are really nice, but the house is my favourite. It would take me hours to even attempt one of those and you knock six out in a couple of hours!
The glass is called a “bullseye”. They can be pretty expensive to replace these days. I’ve fitted a few of them over the years but never noticed the pattern they cast. It’s lovely.
Not satisfied with doing six paintings in the morning you have to paint poor unsuspecting children too 😊
I had to chuckle at the phrase “they were following the pumpkins through the town”. Conjured up an image of the Rev as Dorothy dancing along the yellow brick road following pumpkins! 😊 I’m a sad git, I know!

  2. Quite a busy day in a way, the watercolour workshops have been interesting, must practice some of the techniques I have learnt.
Nice to know the proper name for the windows, they had a few but it was the patterns that caught my eye.
Might get down to the sea again to see the sunrise one of these days!
