I had an email about an art exhibition at the gallery in the bowls club so took a walk up there this morning. I did photograph this bench a long time ago but it is worth a repeat!
The recent wet and very windy weather has been bringing the leaves down, so not a great autumn this year I think, a couple of slightly autumnal shots.
Some great trees today.
Look out for something vaguely like one of them later!
The are exhibits were pretty good but sadly the members of the bowls club were less than welcoming! Walking back I took a detour as I have never seen this quite impressive sports ground before.
A different view of the church on the way home, the weather was changing then!
I decided to try a painting this afternoon. Must try and get some practice in to benefit from the workshops.
This evening I walked down to the sea and had pensioners fish and chips sitting on a bench! The sky was quite different over the two views.
There is a landscape painting competition starting on tv tonight, so will watch that.
Lots of really nice colour is tonight, including hand drawn and painted ones too. I can see it’s the same tree as in the pic. Wish I could do that! The pampas looks great, as do the mushrooms. They always look good enough to eat, sneaky poisonous little devils! I remember the bench from when you photographed it a while ago. I really does looks like it should be sat on. Although I bet it’d be a bit cold and hard today. Definitely a summer bench.
ReplyDeleteI love the pic that follows that one. The colour in the trees against the blue sky is great, and the yellow sign finishes off the pic nicely. Well spotted. The tree trunk with the weird know and bark is very unusual too. Looks like it’s watching!
My other favourite is the silhouette of the church on the skyline, but it still has lots of detail in the shadows in the foreground. I really must try to get out and take some pics.
Fish and chips is a great end to any day, specially by the sea.
Been quite a good day and a little more exercise than of late which is good too.
ReplyDeleteI have always liked trees and particularly twisty ones and those with super interesting bark.the other pampas I bought is bigger but I think it is going to produce some grasses before too long.
Haven’t walked up that way often, should more often really as there are some attractive houses too.
