It has been a pretty miserable day, wet and cold. I went out quite early and wandered round the town and then caught the bus up to Freeport. My waterproof coat really isn’t so tried all the outdoor wear shops up there and bought a ‘guaranteed’ fully waterproof jacket in the last one. I walked home in quite heavy rain and it did keep my top half dry! Polly’s Path was pretty wet and swimming benches (not literally) and flooded pavements. A few wet pictures!I have stayed indoors this afternoon. Darren and Tina have gone off to Wyedale for an overnight break and the cats appear to be getting used to each other, well, spitting and growling but nothing worse for a while. The gladioli I bought on Tuesday on the way home from Peterborough are beginning to open up now.
Not a good morning to be out walking. It’s been rough here too. Hopefully the jacket will get some more use to make it worthwhile, but then that means going out in the rain, which isn’t a great idea. Polly’s Path should be renamed Polly’s Puddle in this weather! Hope your shoes are as waterproof as your coat!
ReplyDeleteFingers crossed the cats stick to hissing and growling. That’s a bit easier to cope with than full blown cat wars!
Wonder who’ll go this week?
It was a very wet day, supposed to be much better tomorrow. My shoes were a bit wet by the time I got home! The coat will get more use I am sure.
ReplyDeleteFingers and toes crossed, if I could, for quiet cats!!
Probably Mike this week, but will watch the dances first.
