Darren came with us to Sewerby, a really fabulous place, we were there hours and didn’t go into the hall, although we could have done as it was included in the price. We soon came across some outdoor activities!
Then we walked in the grounds and found a nice enclosed seated area.
Silly, but couldn’t be resisted!
Beautiful carvings in the wooded area.
We walked out of the grounds to see the sea, the land train came in but as it was a bit chilly just then we decided to go and have lunch and catch a later one.
Off for lunch and then back down to the cliff to catch the land train.
It was cold and windy but fun and went all the way to The Spa in Bridlington.
We managed a few minutes on the beach at Bridlington, the sky was looking dramatic. Love this next picture, the sea was a great colour.
Thought that big wheel was unusual with the wood effect.
The other land train had windows, would have been a bit less chilly, and took one of the station signs!
Then we went to the zoo, bigger than I had remembered. A pig I could stroke, or should I say scratch, that made my day!
Such cute guinea pigs, especially that ridiculously fluffy one....
The raccoon dog was odd and also pretty smelly!
This goat wasn’t too happy, all on her own!
The baby goats were extra cute!
After the zoo we went to the play park, just a nice photo of Isobel.
We were home quite late, I got on with dinner while Anya went into the garden to try putting up their new tent.
Blue was the first visitor! I think Charlie had a nose as well. The girls then slept in it last night. Not great as we are next to a noisy pub, the church bells chime every quarter of an hour and the dawn chorus was deafening!!
Today we have taken it easy, Anya and Isobel managed to get the tent down and into the bag. Everything packed away and they set off for home after lunch. It has been a great visit.

That’s a lovely pic of Darren and Isobel 😊You certainly had a full day there. Plenty to do, and the train ride looked fun, albeit a bit breezy. The zoo looked good too. Hope you washed your hands after scratching the pig 😊
ReplyDeleteBloody hell! That is a big old tent! Bet it was a lot easier to unpack and put up than the reverse operation. I’m amazed it all went back in the bag. More patience than me!
You’ve got some really great pics on here tonight. But I think my favourite is the natural one you caught I’d Isobel. That’s definitely one for the folder.
It really was a good day, pretty tiring but a lot of fun. We didn’t even see the house which will do again another time.
ReplyDeleteThat is a nice photo of Isobel, on the print list!
They did do well with the tent.
