This afternoon I visited Sarah and David and heard about their trip to Poland.
After dinner I was watering the garden when Tina asked if I would like to take a trip to Mappleton and see the sea. I said it would be lovely when I finished. Took a photo of these beautiful cosmos flowers. I grew them from seed but they were planted out late, but have flourished in spite of the drought conditions!
Will now post some evening photos, no need for much more waffling!
Haven’t had sunset pics for a while, so a lovely way to end the day. But actually we then watched a fascinating program about pigs showing how intelligent they are, so that was an extra bonus.
I would quite like to go to a boot sale. Not been to one for a very long time. Could do with a bit of bargain hunting.
ReplyDeleteI love the cosmos flowers. I don’t remember ever seeing them before, but I’m sure I must have done. Very pretty, but hard to judge the size. I imagine them to be quite large, but I’ve known to have been wrong on rare occasions 😊
A evening trip to the sea is always a good way to end a day. Some great pics. Not seen many sunsets on here for a while, so these make up for it. I was trying to decide which I liked best, but I actually like all of them.
The flowers are about three inches across, so reasonably big. I did grow them in Peterborough but they were pink not white.
ReplyDeleteIt was really nice to see the sea and a sunset, it is a novelty these days!
