When I came out I looked at the sea agitating, saw some mad paddlers and decided to take a walk along the beach as the sea was out and it was sandy.
My aim was to walk towards those wind turbines, I had zoomed a bit when taking that photo.
Interesting img to see those nets for beach sports.
I loved the patterns on the beach and that beach hut was something else!
Nice sky and I got pretty close to the turbines!
I was a good way from the town and as I walked back it was getting darker.
Saw a couple of these trains painted on the ground, maybe because the land train goes into Bridlington.
That pool was near rows of beach huts. The fish sculpture was designed for plastic, not other waste, to try and combat the plastic going into the sea.
As I was nearing The Spa I got a message from Darren saying that they were playing a different game to the one he goes to so was ready to leave when I was. So I made my way to the shop, as we both had wasted journey we came home and were here a bit after nine. Although I was disappointed about the show, I enjoyed the longish walk on the beach and took some photos. It was a lovely evening, bit windy but not cold. At the shop Darr n bought me a small version of the game I played in America, Ticket to Ride. Hopefully, we will have a game before too long.
This morning I did some baking, more zucchini bread and this time a successful sponge!
I have done some tidying this afternoon and general household stuff. The St Nicholas horticultural show is tomorrow so I took a couple of entries over this evening.
A real shame it was cancelled, but not really a wasted evening. I bet it was nice walking along the beach late in the evening. It definitely made for some nice pics. In fact there are quite a few in there that I really like. The one of what I assume was once part of the groins, with the sand hollowed out around them is very artsy, and I particularly like the one of the swimming pool reflecting the lights. The blue of the sky and the water really works well.
ReplyDeleteVery posh beach huts in that part of the world. Bet they’re not cheap to hire!
I suppose you ended up getting a bit more exercise than you were expecting, but at least it looked a nice evening. Very lucky Darren finished early too. Sounds like he’s been rewarded for his taxiing with a nice sponge cake 😊 I have to say it looks pretty good this time, as does the zucchini bread. Don’t you ever sit down and do nothing? 😊
I ended enjoying the evening, and I will keep my an eye out for new dates and make sure I get a ticket when they are due t come again. Pity getting back from Bridlington is so difficult as it is a great beach to walk on.
ReplyDeleteI have sat and done nothing today, well, playing a word game really, I am a bit addicted!
