Church hopping continued.

Back to St Michael, Catwick.

As we drove to Sigglesthorne and St Lawrence church we spotted this beautiful carved tree trunk.
Sigglesthorne was going to be the last church but another surprise after that!

A really interesting church.

We were back in time to go to Bettisons Folly, which only opens once a year on this day,
It is a bit of a health and safety nightmare, but I went up to the top!

And finally some shots from the top!

  1. I’m extremely jealous of your little church spotting trip. I’d have really enjoyed it too. Some fantastic pics to show for it.
I know how much you like the folly, so I’m really pleased you got to go in it and up it! I can’t believe that health and safety would condone any member of the public going up those stairs, or more so down them! A lot of people would have given it a miss so good on you for making it to the top. Nice place for taking pics as well. You’ll have knee ache tomorrow 😊

  2. It was quite an adventure, especially the final part!
So pleased to get the chance to do it thanks to Sarah being the driver.
Knee ache will be worth it to get up the folly!
