That second one was as I got to the north beach, the dog walkers beach at the moment as some of the beach is excluded in the summer. I did walk along the beach for a while.
On th way back I was taken with the little pieces of pink seaweed, and somebody had gone to a lot of trouble with the pebbles and boulders!
Being as today I am endeavouring to get a bit more active I decided I would go up these steps to the promenade!
I met up with Sarah and David for coffee then I walked home, taking one more picture of the sea!
After lunch I thought it was time to get the bonsai trees out of the trays and back on the stand, did weed them a bit, next year will be root pruning again!
Only one sunflower has grown fully but to say it is going to be a giant is an understatement as the flower isn’t even opening yet!
I made a start on the walled garden as it is very overgrown. But it began to rain a bit and I had spent over an hour outside by then.
I have even done ten minutes on the exercise bike, not sure how long I will keep this up but the intentions are good,
A very busy day then. Hope you’ve not gone too mad and overdone it though. The steps look a bit of a killer!
ReplyDeleteThe pink seaweed against the sand background looks like something you’ve crafted rather than being real life. Nature is funky. Whoever made the most for the sand and stone went to a lot of effort. That’s a lot of stones! Kept a family of kids amused for a few hours I would think 😊
The pic with the sunflower is great. Really shows off the size of it. I think you’re going to need a BIG stake when that flower opens. Should provide a few seeds for the local birds.
Clearing the walled garden and then going on the exercise should just about have knackered you for the night! But if you’ve felt better and more motivated today then that’s a good thing. Just don’t go too mad!
Busy but enjoyable. The sea was quite calm today.
ReplyDeleteNot a big start in the garden, but feels like I am at least going in the right direction.
Must try to be organised and get on that bike regularly for a while to see if it improves the knee mobility.
I think that is going to be a big sunflower when it opens!
