Back on the trains.

Up early today as I was catching the 7,45 am bus into Hull. It meant I had over an hour before the train departed for Sheffield but that was just the way the times lined up, or didn't so to speak. I managed to collect an advance ticket for a later journey that I had booked and also had time for a white chocolate mocha in Starbucks!
Had time to nip outside at Sheffield and take a picture of the fountain in the entrance.
Also of some spectacular chimneys and a bike rack on the station platform!

I got a seat on all the trains with no hassle, the third one was a bit crowded but it was okay. The last one was quite empty which was good and Hazel and Brian were at the station to meet me. Hazel  got me a lovely meal and we had a good natter and Hazel even got me to get whatssap on the phone!!
Was at the hotel before 8 pm and on the seventh floor this time. I went out for a bit of a walk and took a few pictures of trees.


I have done the steps down and up! Maybe won't bother again!! A few sunset pics to finish.

    Well it looks like it was glorious weather from start to finish of your day. Some lovely pics. Bit of everything really. Architecture, flora and a brilliant sunset. You don’t get the chance to capture those so often now, but when you do you certainly make good use of it.
    Glad your day went ok. I do envy the fact that you’re such a seasoned traveller and take it all in your stride. I really wish I could do the same.
    Give the stairs a miss tomorrow. Elisha Otis didn’t go to all that trouble for nothing you know :-)

    It was great weather yesterday and has been lovely today as well.
    The journey went well, I do know what I am doing now which certainly helps.
    Elisha Otis, had to look him up, very interesting!
