This morning I set off in plenty of time, partly to get a good walk in and partly to have time to sit and recover before seeing the doctor. My blood pressure was down quite a bit so she has allowed me a couple more weeks to see if I can maintain or improve it. She is making a referral to a neurologist to see if they can find out why I have a permanently numb foot. She said it will be quite a wait, but at least she is making the referral. I walked home and I had it in my head that the course at Freeport was today, so Tina took me up there and we had a coffee and she came with me to the craft outlet. The course is next Thursday, and I did know it was on the 17th so will put it down to a senior moment! Tina went back to work and I said I would walk home as planned.
Polly's Path looks very different from the last time I walked down it, as does the road leading away from the cemetery.
I am quite surprised these are in focus as I was trying to do a continuous walk (blame the Fitbit) so didn't actually stop to take them!
When Tina and I had lunch we were sitting at the table in the kitchen, the bed outside that window was one of the first places I did a bit of digging and discovered how hard it was. Well, it was really beginning to look a mess so I decided to make a start on it this afternoon.
You couldn't even see that I had marked out the lawn edge. That banked area proved to be a bit of a challenge. Sat and had a drink mid toiling and took a picture of the laburnum and other trees and plants. I only registered it was laburnum today as many years ago we had one and \I remembered the flowers. Probably remember it because we had to dig it up as we thought Lee had eaten some of the flowers and they are poisonous!!
Can definitely see where I have been today, still plenty to do but onward and upward.
The garden bin was emptied today and I have almost filled it again! It is only emptied fortnightly.
Charity shop in the morning, I will try and get a walk in before I start.........
Some lovely colours in all the pics tonight. Are they all with the new camera, or the are some with the old one? I know you sometimes only take the old one into garden with you in case it gets dirty. I remember Polly’s Path last time you posted a pic of it, and it does look a lot different in today’s. You must have so many photos now. Definitely time to get some backups done I think!
ReplyDeleteThat garden is a bit like the Forth Bridge. As fast as you clear and sort it, it’ll be time to start all over again! It’ll keep you fit though! I have visions of you doing a bit, then doing a lap round the garden to keep the Fitbit happy :-)
Did take all the pics with the new one, wore gloves while I was doing the bed so wasn't too mucky!
ReplyDeleteThe garden is definitely like painting the Forth Bridge, doubt if I will get round the first time this year!
Anyone would think I am obsessed with keeping the Fitbit happy!!
