Travelling home

Hazel collected me about 7.30 am to avoid the traffic, which was really building up as she drove me back to their place. Had breakfast with them and was able to spend another couple of hours with them before Hazel taking me to the station. It was all over the news about the shake up with the train timetables but none of my trains were affected which was good, and although a couple of the change over times were fairly short I didn't end up trying to run to catch the next one!
I was aching a bit by the time I was on the bus, but it is a lot of sitting and I have had more exercise lately.
Tina had got me milk in and some salad, but she was cooking a stir fry and I ended up eating with them which was really nice. I also got some very pretty 'welcome home' flowers.
Darren went out at the weekend and bought himself a new suit for the Buckingham Palace garden party. We got him to try it on but obviously it will look different when he puts on the white shirt as well!
I have been out and watered the garden, had to tie up the sunflowers again and the hanging baskets are beginning to blossom.

Tina got a collar with a bell for Blue, she has kept it on for a couple hours but not for want of trying to remove it!
Unpack and relax now I think.

  1. I. It’s admit when I heard the news this morning about the train chaos, my thoughts went straight to your journey home. Glad it all went ok for you, but it’s a long old trip and very tiring. Very nice to come home to a lovely bunch of flowers and tea cooked for you too. You need to go on more trips :-)
Darren looks very spiffing in his new suit. I actually like it with the black shirt, but it’s probably not the done thing at the palace! Don’t want him to get thrown into the tower!
The walled garden is getting more colour in it now, which is good, and the sunflowers are shooting up. They’ll make a great display by that wall. I’m sure you’ll be out doing a bit more to the main garden tomorrow. Don’t go mad though.
Bet the local wildlife are pleased with the warning bell :-)

  2. The wildlife will be happy and safer if Blue doesn't manage to get the collar off.
The garden is taking shape, I will try and get a bit more done out there tomorrow.
Darren brushes up well, they will make a splendid couple.
