I went for an early walk again, down to the front before following the trail the same as yesterday. It was grey and quite chilly by the sea, I did go on the beach for a while, not a bit May like!
Back on the road just before the Insurance place which I planned to visit there was this most amazing blue bush outside the Catholic church.
I had tried getting holiday insurance on line last night but the price seemed to be bumped up by the time you got to the checkout. Darren had mentioned that there is an insurance broker in \Hornsea, so I decided to give then a try. I was served by a lovely lady called Rebecca and we went through it all very thoroughly and we even mentioned that I have been having blood pressure tests. Quite expensive but I feel that I have good insurance that will be valid.
The rain has seemed in the air today but hasn't actually arrived. I got on with household chores for most of the day, sounds like an exaggeration but it is a bit house if you really decide to do a blitz!
Had dinner with Darren this evening and have checked the garden and no watering required. I have a craft session to go to in the morning.
That does look a bit gloomy and dismal on the beach, but it’s on the beach by the sea which is always good. I can’t imagine that anyone could get bored of being by the sea.
ReplyDeleteI really like the pic of the crucifix and the bush. Not sure why, but it just seems a nice combination with that colour. Or I’m just weird!
Glad the insurance is sorted. It’s expensive, but one of those must have things. Nice that you managed to get it sorted with a local broker too.
It’s not just a big house, it’s a huge house! I think you’ll have definitely earned some feet up time tonight.
The bush and the crucifix were very striking even on such a grey day.
DeletePretty quiet on the beach this morning, not even that many dog walkers. I really must take a bag and picker one day as I saw a couple of bits of rubbish today.
It was so nice that I sorted the insurance with a person, a very helpful and friendly one at that.
Good job none of us are too house proud, if we were it would be a bit like the Seventh bridge or the garden!!
