This morning Darren and I went off as usual but to Leberston as he was going to drop me off at Bempton Cliffs before going to archery. We had our sandwich and cuppa as usual but I didn't walk around as much as I have been. I was quite achy today and knew I would be doing more walking at Bempton so I went back to the car and waited for him there. I did buy a bottle opener for 50p and a pasta maker. When Darren got back he noticed this'bug' car behind ours. What a great funky little vehicle!
Darren decided to come with me to Bempton in the end, it was very busy but we walked along one direction. Didn't see many birds close to but it is just a lovely place to visit.
As we were leaving we saw another great car from the days when I could recognise all the different makes! A Triumph Mayflower in fab condition.
I decided against gardening today but have of course watered which takes a while. Maybe get back out there tomorrow.
Oh a Bond Bug! I always wanted one of those in the 70’s but sadly never got one. Not the safest thing to drive around in, but funky, and a great colour too.
ReplyDeleteBempton is a really nice place. I enjoyed going there. Looks like you had a nice day for it too. Shame you didn’t get any close up shots, but that’s a good reason to return another day. Darren isn’t as good as you with the level horizon shots :-)
Definitely a day for some lovely old cars. I suppose people only bring them out on nice days so they don’t get wet and dirty.
I don’t think you’re allowed to do gardening on a bank holiday Monday. You should put your feet up and relax out there if it’s a nice day.
The weather was good today and even at Bempton the sea breeze wasn't too bad.
ReplyDeleteWe did think we saw some puffins flitting about, but Darren has better eyesight that me and they were a long way down the cliff.
Nice to have pictures of such great cars wither end of the day.
