Double trouble!

I had my morning at the charity shop and was trained up on the new till. technology making life easier, not this technology, so much more to input and you have to log in for every transaction! I got on fine though so Tracey the manager could get to grips with the new paperwork.
When Tina got in we went to a local small garden centre which spends more time closed than open. The plants are all in huge greenhouses so it was very hot inside and a lot of the plants looked like they needed to escape! We bought some bedding plants and a trailing wild strawberry, already in a pot. I had a plant stand so it is now in the walled garden.
We both then went out into the garden, I didn't do as much of the hard graft today as I was feeling the effect of the last couple of days. But I did some clearing and Tina used the tiller. She had finished using it by the time I got the camera out so here she is cleaning it up!
I used some logs I had to make a bit of a path and we did some planting, can definitely see where we have been.

While we were out some cushions that I ordered ages ago had arrived. I had ordered three, two for the blanket box and one to make my chair in the greenhouse more comfortable. They are very comfy and fit on the blanket bench a treat.
Didn't finish watering everywhere until quite late and now I am trying to get sorted for an early start to Hemel in the morning.

  1. Technology is wonderful, but not always for the best, and certainly doesn’t make life that much easier, if at all!
The garden does look good. That tiller certainly does help out a lot, but there’s still a lot of hard work going into it. If it were just possible to get it looking like that and then having it stay like that, it’d be great. Sadly the weeds soon start to come through again. I think they just do it to spite you really. It’s their way of putting their tongue out at you :-) I like the strawberry plant. It’s pretty, and hopefully you’ll get to eat some of those berries off it later.
You did well to get cushions the right size to fit the blanket box so well. It really finishes it off and makes a nice bit of multifunctional furniture.
Hope the trip goes well tomorrow and everything runs to schedule. No running needed!

  2. That flower bed is beginning to look good, but still so many roots that regular hoeing will be necessary to keep in under control. I have sprinkled some butterfly and bee attracting seeds at the back so will have to let the weeks grow a bit until we can tell the difference.
Love the plant with the little wild strawberries and really pleased with the cushions.
