Busy bee today!

This morning Tina needed to go to Skipsea church and suggested she drop me off on the way back so that I could have a reasonable walk.Lovely church at Skipsea.
She dropped me off just outside Atwick and she clocked the distance on her way home to almost exactly 2 miles. I had a rest on a wall and took a picture of the field opposite.
I went to the library to return the audio book and popped in the shop for some lunch. We had lunch and I decided to get into the garden. I filled some bottles and attached them to what look like witches hats!
I am not sure that they work that well, supposed to drip feed plants to when you leave them for a bit. We will see how successful they are.
This was the bed I was going to work on today.
Had a drink outside with Tina after a while and Charlie came out to sit with us.
I got as far as the honesty which is looking fantastic.

.
Having anther break as I was getting very hot and a bit sweaty! The sun on the trees was so beautiful.
Also this blackbird was happy to be on the lawn while I sat on the terrace.
I worked on until fairly late and got the bed pretty prepared.
I got the watering done and resting now and feeling pretty tired.

  1. That was good of Tina to drive you miles from home and drop you off! If next time she suggest 5 miles, she might be trying to tell you something :-) It’s been a nice day, so good for a walk and a bit of exercise. You really are in the zone with it these days.
I had to look at the bottles twice before I sussed out what they were, but found I was right when I read on. Hope they do the trick.
The garden is getting very colourful now. Shame it’s such hard work getting it and keeping it that way. It’ll keep you fit through the summer though, and you can relax all winter! Or not.

  2. Wouldn't want to be much further out than that just yet, that is probably the longest walk I have done in a good while now. although hopefully there will be a few more eventually!
We have accepted that there are a lot of parts of the garden which won't get a look in this year, definitely a long term project......
