Wet walk and cake decorating!

Although it has started raining I set off to walk to Freeport as planned, I did rear and hat and gloves today as my hands were cold when walking the other day. I didn’t do any shopping, walked down the hill towards the bus stop and had a drink at the coffee shop. The lights are on now but so far the nativity has not arrived, maybe it has been retired, a shame, it is one of my Christmas highlights!
It was teeming down when the bus was ready to go!
When the rain had stopped I got a few bits over to the charity shop and finished the last bit of tinsel knitting and the tree is ready for transportation!
After lunch I got all the cakes decorated, just a photo of one of them.
I have read some more of the Richard Osman book which I am really enjoying, and now I have turned mother cupboard out, may as well go with it while I am in the mood!
Have just kept Tina company while she did some printing in the church. Will make a cuppa when I finish this and will then see if ai can make headway with the latest tsunami!

  1. It has been a cold day again. You’ll end up with pneumonia with all this walking in the cold and rain. You’re definitely hardy 😊 It’s nice to get out though, even if you don’t actually need any shopping. A nice coffee or hot chocolate is a good incentive though.
There’s no way they’ll retire that nativity, and if they do you should start a petition to get the naff nativity back.
I’m looking forward to seeing the finished tree. Are you going to wait until it’s in situ before you take a pic? The cake looks nice, and I know for a fact it’ll taste nice. It’s the only part of Christmas I look forward to!
Hope you’re going to relax a bit this evening and not be sorting cupboards all night?

    1. Will try not to sort it all tonight, it won’t be going anywhere without my help! If only I had been born a minimalist!
I must have more space now, best try really hard not to refill it!
