Long day, short entry!

Today has been pretty busy. I went to see June who runs HUG before we went out as I had at last got the notelets printed and packaged. Will put a picture another day. They with Darren, Anya and Isobel we went to Sewerby Hall and gardens. We had a great day there, walking round the lovely gardens, going on the land train to Bridlington and round a zoo, fitting in lunch as well. This evening I cooked for us and we have played a couple of games. I am now ready to bed, so will put a few photos and write a longer entry about the day in tomorrow’s post.

That’s all folks, as they say!

Slot machines and Honeysuckle Farm

Another busy and very good day, the wind was  and it was cooler, but still bright and good weather to be out and about in. Anys took a picture in the hall, Isobel will soon be towering over me!
Isobel and I walked down to the front, had a look at the sea and went into the arcade, I had managed to save up a substantial amount of 2p’s. We didn’t win anything today but it was fun.
We had lunch at home and then Tina took us to Honeysuckle Farm. We got out animal and fish food and set off. The first animals we saw were the cows and the calf was not going to stop feeding because mum had come over for some treats!
Isobel had a play on the mounds and tunnels.

This pig was well away, snoring peacefully, adorable!
We went into the butterfly house.

This next butterfly settled on Tina and as you weren’t allowed to touch them we thought we might have to leave her behind!

The pheasants were stunning.

Fluffy geese and gorgeous donkeys!

We went through the maze which was fun. After a good walk round we went to the cafe for drinks.
Then we went to feed the fish with the remaining fish food. Fed ducks and a moorhen too. The zoom isn’t great on the phone but will put the picture of the moorhen on as she was collecting the fish food and feeding her babies, it was sooo cute.

We went through the maze again and Tina and I went back in the butterfly house.

The turkey and babies were cute even though Isobel thought they were hideous!

Then it was time to go, they had some really unusual door screens.
We have had fish and chips for tea and will be relaxing for the rest of the evening.

Nice visit to Scarborough

I have quite a few photos to put on tonight so will keep the writing to a minimum. Tina, Isobel and myself set off for Scarborough reasonably early, after I had made sure Anya had everything she needed while she worked from home. Isobel spotted the words on this van, only took the phone so couldn’t zoom in too well, but it is the small line of print across the middle that made us laugh!
Nice to see the sea at Scarborough North Bay.

We all stayed on the beach for a while, it was fun, I did go down and paddle with Isobel andTina went down with her a bit later.

Tina went off to meet her friend Debbie for a bit, Isobel and I stayed a bit longer then packed up and went to the park. We weren’t there long as they were making everybody leave to get ready for the Naval Battle show.
We had time for Isobel to climb up those steps though! So we went in search of a cafe, the one near the park was heaving, we were near where I used to live so Isobel said can we walk past your old house. We did walk up Woodall Avenue and then along to The North Bay cafe where we often had breakfast!
Then we walked back to the park, found a place to sit and settled down to watch the Naval Battle. Tina was going to meet us there.

Now a few pics of the iPad will let me of the ships. I was using the phone today.

Last one for today, time to get ready for bed!
