I was awake at 5.30 am and doing a puzzle in bed by six o'clock, between a lot of coughing! I went for a walk just after 8 am to drop off a couple of cards and see the sea. I cut through Trafalgar Square, don't walk that way often and it had a nice little quiet area in the centre.
Thought this garden on the square was pretty, a lot were not tended at all.
I cut through to the cliff top and took a picture of this tiny little property which I wish had my name on it!!
Very windy on the cliff top as Katie rolled in, unusual cloud over the castle.
Checked on the trees and plants when I got home, wind really up again now. Jeremy is fine in his pretend pond!
I have been working on the quilt, this is the second side.
Then both folded complete with their borders.
I went down to get dinner for us and then came back and tried to layer the quilt. No easy task and I don't think the two sides are even the same size!! I may get the free hand embroidery foot out and have a play before I start the quilting. I ordered some photos on line a couple of days ago, some to send to people I write to who don't use the internet and an enlargement for me from my trip last week. I have put the picture in a frame with my signed photo of Charles. It will sit on my computer desk so that I will see it and it will make me smile every day! Got The Voice on, but I can hear the quilt getting restless!!
Youre getting up earlier than me these days, which isn't necessarily a good thing from your point of view. I'm sure germs are now transmittable via the Internet, as I get similar symptoms to yours! Good time for taking a few pics though as there aren't so many people about. What is that little building on the seafront? I remember seeing the roof lots of times from up above but can't think what it is.
ReplyDeleteAre you sure it's a Jeremy and not a Jemima?
Didn't think it would be long before you got the pic of Charles printed :-)
Love the quilt.
I think it is a little private home, they have made the garden at the side lovely. It looks very small, but what a great position! The picture just brings a smile to my face, even if I do look a bit like the cat that got the cream!!Jemima would be fine, another Beatrix Potter name..
