Did a bit of cover at the studio this morning as Sandy had to take her brother to a medical appointment. Then I walked down to Boyes to get some material with some that I bought on line to make a baby quilt for my hairdresser who is having a baby in a couple of months. I will just cut squares for this quilt to make it simpler!
When Tina and I went shopping on Monday Tina bought me some carnations, they look pretty in the new vase that I painted a couple of weeks back.
This morning the delivery of plants that should have come on Monday arrived. The address on the parcel was 13, Scarborough! Luckily the postcode was also on it so they tracked us down. I went out into the garden tried to break down the upper bed a bit more, it has had a lot of sand applied.
Managed to get all the plants in and Darren went to the florist to get me some heathers as well. Slowly beginning to look like a flower bed.
There are a couple of shrubs in there so it will look much better when they get some leaves and then hopefully flowers! Granchester is back tonight so that to look forward to.
The materials for the cot quilt are lovely, she'll be very pleased with that. Should be pretty simple too after the others you've done lately.
ReplyDeleteThe garden is coming on leap and bounds. It looks so much better than when I was up there last. The plants were obviously destined to be planted there, or they wouldn't have made it to you with such bad addressing :-)
The vase is looking good with the carnations in it.
Yes, a fairly productive day which is good. I do love my little vase.
