Boot sale and welcome to Rosie and Hattie

I was feeling a bit better this morning so m aged to get round the boot sale with Darren. Today was £5 day, but two bargains if slightly more expensive ones!  Nice sewing box in pretty good condition and a lovely little display cabinet which I will put my special small ornaments in, another photo when it is on place with items in.
Didn’t do much else before gong to the service to welcome Rosie, the new curate and her partner Hattie. A lovely service and most of the congregation came to the parish hall for refreshments afterwards. Rosie and Hattie are both Vegan so two cakes were made. I got the job of cutting the not vegan one after taking this nice picture of the cutting them.
I helped clear away and tidy the hall before coming home, so back to feet up now!

The day improved!

Felt really off colour this morning, was up early but even tried to go back to bed for a bit, but I have felt a bit better as the day has gone on although feeling pretty tired still. I went to the shop as usual and then sat and read for a while. It did spot with rain for a while, but not much help for the plants!
I went out to feed the birds and was a bit disappointed that the weeds are already returning on the patio, I did hve. Go at clearing them so as they don get ridiculous again. No after photo as there weren’t that many,
DRren went to the shops and bought bulb for dragon lamp. I may take a photo when the room is darker.
I did go out in the garden again for a while this afternoon, but just did a bit of hoeing before it gets too bad again. The se holly is getting very blue now.
Some more reading and putting my feet up.
Will go with Darren tomorrow to the boot sale, even if I just have breakfast and then read a bit more of my novel before reading about Elenor Roosevelt.

Doctors and library

Tina drove me down to the surgery this morning so that I could have my blood test. The nurse weighed me as they haven’t for a few years now, Iweighed the same and some extra blood tests while I was there. If I don’t hear anything they will have all been normal. I made my way home via the sea front and the library.
I collected a book I had ordered at the library. I had done a ‘story crossword’ a little while ago and the subject was Eleanor Roosevelt and she sounded like a fascinating woman.
Caroline texted to say the dragon light was ready and she also had the plates so I can state working on the sample for the landscape on a plate class. She said she would drop them off later, but sent me the results of the flowerpot class.
I think they turned out well so hope the ladies are pleased with them.
Jean came for a while this afternoon and soon after she left Caroline arrived. Haven’t got a bulb yet but pleased with the result so far. Took several angles.
Have watered the garden, but sitting complete with cat now, as still very tired.

Very quiet day

I have felt weary and achey, and today I decided I need to try taking it a bit more easy and see if that helps. I did a load of washing and then had a nice breakfast with Angela.
Sat and caught up with some tv I had missed and then went and visited Bel for a while as I won’t be seeing her tomorrow as I am having a blood test in the morning.
I have watered the walled garden and ignored the weeds that are filling the beds and appearing on the patio!
I haven taken any photos today but forgot to mention something yesterday. When I was at the pottery studio yesterday Rob was busy unloading a delivery and a lady comes with her niece for a birthday treat. Rob said I would set them up when they were ready to paint. I got the niece started nd then got on with my painting. They asked a few questions and then asked if I could help with a design for the plate. She liked cats so got some images up on my phone. Copied the one she liked. D when she had painted writ the cats name on for her to paint over. They appeared to be very happy when they left.
Still sitting around but hopefully won’t crash out in the chair like I did yesterday. I don’t feel quite so tired tonight,

Feeling weary

A bit of walking today, post box early and then did walk up to Freeport. Best to keep moving as if I sit down I doze off! Yesterday evening I hosed the garden and took some pics.
I had a go at painting a coaster for my workshop. Should be colourful when it is fired.
I tried painting another one at the studio this morning. The pale lines underneath will burn off as I changed it as I painted!
I am feeling very weary so haven’t done a great deal, but did sort out a simple recipe and made a banana cake as we had bananas that were way past their best!
Tina bought this toadstool garden or next at Burghley so got it outside.
Will finish with a few more shots from the garden.

Home and early post

Travelled home today. Darren popped in to see Margherita briefly before we set off for home, I got told off for telling the staff that she will be ninety next month! But she scolded me with a smile on her face while telling me she will ever talk to me again!
I will put some non people pictures from yesterday now.
Two pics from last night when Darren and Anya met up with the family for a meal.
Darren and ai stopped at Hemswell Antique Centre on the way home. Three large buildings with all sorts. I got the bargain of the day, only spending a pound!
Hot and tired now, but it has been a lovely trip.
Back to the pottery studio tomorrow.
