Trip to Beverley

Will start and finish with my lap buddy, she will have to settle somewhere else when I have had the surgery, for a while anyway. Such a pretty girl though.
This morning I pottered indoors as Tina had a couple of appointments, then we set off for Beverley. Tina wanted to get her flights for going to Zimbabwe bought, she isn’t going until later in the year but good to get them booked. But we had lunch at The Monkey Tree first, which was very good. Then we called in a Missy, she is doing well in Beverley but sad she moved out of Hornsea. Then to the travel agent, very helpful and flights booked. We had a look round the antique centre and came out empty handed  then got a few bits in the M &S food hall. I got some bits in The Body Shop, it closes this month, so that was handy. Tina bought me a fabulous book in the independent book shop. Signed and a free print and book mark, it is fascinating and about the wilding of a huge estate which I would love to visit some time.
We cut through by a church and saw this great placard.
Have been reading up about my cleaning routine which starts tomorrow and had a battle getting into the hospital website, had to set yet another new password!
Watching a drama at the moment with my lap buddy, she was on me for a while earier when I took this,
Start of the cleaning regime and a blood test at the hospital tomorrow!

  1. Yes, your lap buddy is going to be a bit irate when she’s not allowed to climb on you. I’m sure she’ll find somewhere close though.
It doesn’t seem that long since the Rev went to Zimbabwe before. I bet she’s looking forward to going again. Long old trip though.
The book sounds interesting. Nice illustration on the front too. Hopefully you’ll get to visit the estate at some point. You’ll have a long list of things for when leg is sorted out. Shouldn’t be too long now.
Hope the blood test goes ok. The cleaning routine should be fun too. They seem to get patients to do lots these days. It’ll be do it yourself operations soon 🙂

  2. On the count down now, so hopefully nothing throws a spanner in the works now,
The book should be very interesting, I have only been reading the timeline of the changes so far.
