Another fairly quiet day

This morning Carol and Sal came to the house to give Darren and me haircuts. They had been on a P&O cruise to Amsterdam, Carol said it spoilt by the overpowering smell of cannabis! Angela arrived soon after they left and we went across to Bemora for a coffee and chat. When it got a bit noisy in there we came back here and had a cuppa and a bit more chat!
Darren has finished work for a while now and the three of us went and had lunch at Lily’s cafe. I had thought of walking back but the rain and wind were cold and driving so I thought better of it. Didn’t even take a photo of the sea. Took one of the cafe out of the car window!
I haven’t been feeling at all Christmassy but decided to get some Christmas bits out and try and make the place a little festive,

This evening Tina asked if I would thread some small wooden angels that she had ordered. Pandora was fascinated and really wanted to play with them!
This evening I have started a jigsaw, really must get one that doesn’t feature birds! Missed one edge piece!
Watching a program about Johnny Cash now,

  1. If you don’t like the smell of cannabis then I don’t think Amsterdam is the best destination 😊
I could do with a haircut, but I would think I’ll end up having to do it myself. Should shave it as it’d be easier!
Judging from the photo I think you made the right decision in not walking home.
I think your room looks quite festive now. Apart from a few cards on the sideboard mine looks the same as usual. Humbug!
The jigsaw looks a bit easier than a few you’ve done lately.

  2. I am glad I got a few Christmas bits out, don’t think I bothered at all last year apart from the cards. Of course all my hand made decorations are all still on the tree in the church!
The weather did turn pretty horrid today.
It will be a fairly straightforward jigsaw, didn’t want too much of a challenge!
