We could hear the hail stones clattering on the roof while we were looking round!
We called in at Hornsea garden centre on the way back, had tea and cake and looked round the extensive Christmas display there. We got some more rock salt as there is still a lot of ice about.
I spotted a cute ornament that was damaged, found a lady and asked if it could be reduced! Don’t ask, don’t get. She wandered away with it and I got it for half price!
Nice sky as we were leaving.
I went and spread rock salt along our frontage when we got home, and the took the bird supplies down to the store cupboard. A squirrel is making a concerted effort to get inside the really sturdy cupboard!
A pic of the church while I was out there.
No Traitors last night because of the football, but no matches tonight so should be aired tonight.
You could have really done with the Ringtons man turning up. I bet you had a list of things you wanted over Christmas. Could you ring and ask if someone could call?
ReplyDeleteGlad you managed to get out with the Rev. Much safer than wandering about over the ice to get to the front. Exercise is overrated anyway 😊 No plants! Blimey. Although bird food is on a par with plants, you have oodles of that too.
The nativity is just a bit nicer than the naff one up the road 😄 But then it would be hard to get one naffer than that. They have it off to a tee now.
That’s a very sparkly pic with you in it. I didn’t actually see you there for a couple of seconds 😄 Good that you asked for a reduction on the ornament. If I had been the assistant I’d have said it’s already been reduced, it’s minus a foot 😊
That is a nice sky. I really like the second one.
That box is made of fibreglass. It certainly won’t do the squirrels mouth much good chomping on glass shards! You could get a fibreglass repair kit from a car parts shop.
Enjoy your program. You’re going to miss that when it finishes.
It was good to get out with Tina, and we always like the garden centres. I am going to see Bel at her place as not good weather for her to come out.
