We are happy with the accommodation at the hotel and the WiFi is good which is a bonus. A good breakfast this morning and thenDarren drove me to Rose’s and we delivered their cake. Darren had things to d so went off and when Rose was ready we got a taxi across to the care home so that we could visit Margherita and I could see the care home, we arrived mid morning and she was still in bed, but seemed happy and was doing one of her puzzles. I had taken three books along for her so she was going to do some reading when we left. We did catch the buses back so that Rose could get used to the journey. The bus out to Orton had been cancelled so we walked into Queensgate to see if there was anywhere to eat that had things that Rose eats. There wasn’t but I took some photos of the Christmas decorations.
I got a message from Darren when we were on the way to Orton Centre to say he had finished what he had been doing, so he met up at the centre and we had lunch together. Then we went to Notcutts garden centre so Rose could have a look a ideas for gifts. A picture before we left!
We took Rose home and had a drink with her. I took pictures of Mimi and Buddy, the cats.
We have had a meal with Anya and family this evening which was lovely. Relaxing now, one more cake drop off tomorrow and another visit to see
Margherita and then homeward bound.
Quite a busy day then, but you’ve done a fair bit. Good to see Margherita for a while, and another visit tomorrow is good.
ReplyDeleteShame there wasn’t anywhere Rose could eat in Queensgate, but egg and chips at the Orton centre is always good. The decorations in Queensgate do look quite nice this year.
Bet Rose wanted to take the reindeer home from Notcutts 😊 Hope she found a few gifts.
Her cats really are cute.
Nice to spend time with Anya and family this evening. You’ve done quite well catching up with people considering it’s a flying visit. Bet you’ll be pooped by the time you get home.
