Must stop having bright ideas!

This morning I walked up to the DIY shop as I wanted to get some more flexible wire as I had decided I would try and wire the canes, I had drilled some holes in the top of the broom handle before I went out. The shop was closed and not opening again until the 17th. Good start! I decided to make a walk of it as I was out so made my way to the Tesco car park to take the path up to the trail. Quite a decent walk now. Saw an unusual vehicle in the car park as I walked through.

A lovely hydrangea as I neared the sea front.
The sea wasn’t too inviting today.
I called into the pet cum florist shop on the way back and got some florist wire and garden wire. Got on with wiring the tree, took a while, and put sone of the knitted garland I already had down a couple of wires and an ornament I decorated on the top!
After lunch I cleaned and decorated a suitable pot that had been in the garden for ages.
I went into the garden to cut down some dead plants as tomorrow is garden bin day. Then I came in and started to put white Das round the base of the tree, then made sure it was reasonably straight and am now leaving it to dry.

I am knitting another garland and will hopefully get it long enough to decorate the other wires.
I made myself pesto salmon and tomatoes in the air fryer, just nine minutes. Really lovely.
I have been to see Sarah and David this evening. I was up early so won’t be late to bed.

  1. I like the title. Suits you well 😊 You have had some weird and wonderful ideas over the years, but they usually turn out ok. Just the odd one here and there that fall by the wayside. I think the tree will make it though. It should after all the effort that’s gone into it. I’m looking forward to seeing it fully decorated. You can try to be posh and say you’re knitting “garland” but it’s still tinsel, and as I said before, who in their right mind knits tinsel? 😊 But as it’s all hand made, both the tree and all the ornaments that’ll be on it, then the tinsel has to be handmade too.
I could do with one of those lifts, my windows really need cleaning.
Looks like it was a lovely day for a walk and really nice scenery too. I had a longish walk today myself, but it definitely wasn’t as pretty as yours.
I really like the pic with the hydrangea. I think it’s all the brickwork, the gate etc. Just all comes together nicely. The sea definitely doesn’t look very inviting and those clouds look very ominous.
Your salmon looks really nice. Think I’m going to have to try that myself. Just need to win the lottery or take out a loan to get some salmon first 😄

  2. Yes, I think this may be a bright idea that sees the light of day!
I can’t begin to think how long it had taken me so far.
It was a pleasant day for a walk, best make the most of it before the winter sets in.
Well, better do some tinsel knitting before bed!
