Baking and company

I was up early so fed the birds just after six and went and posted some cards. A few chores before Bel came round for our usual cuppa and chat. She is going to drive me for my appointment to see if anything can be done with my troublesome hand next Wednesday. I mad a batch of cheese scones when she went home as Tina has n event in the parish hall tomorrow. Haven’t made my for a while but they turned out okay.
After lunch I walked to Jean’s via the sea front as usual. I wore the Peter Rabbit dungarees as Jean had only seen a picture of them. I took a couple of scones for Terry, Jean can’t eat them as she has all sorts of food intolerances.

We had a lovely chat and Terry drove me home.
This evening I have watered the gardens, and Tina came out to finish off in the back which was great. The sea holly is now turning blue, so attractive.

  1. A very early start for you. Hopefully that’ll lead to a better night tonight 🤞🏻
It’s nice that Bel is going to give you a lift to the appointment. One less thing to worry about. I really hope they can suggest something that’ll make things a bit easier for you.
The scones do look nice. I’ve not had any of your cheese scones for a long time. They are good! Bet they’ll soon get devoured.
So what was Jeans verdict on the dungarees? I bet she liked them. It looks quite overcast on the seafront today. Even the seagulls look a bit disheartened 😊
You really could do with a good downpour there. It would do the garden good, and you too. Bloody hard work dragging that hose around. It’s nice that the Rev came out to give you a hand. Many hands and all that.
The sea holly is a lovely plant. Great colour.

  2. Yes, it is good of Bel, we will go and have a bite to eat afterwards and make an outing of it.
It has been overcast today but the threatened rain didn’t arrive, maybe tomorrow!
Jean loved the dungarees, likes Peter Rabbit as well.
Always good to get a bit of help in the garden and Darren got the old tubs through to the walled garden as well.
