Also got another Ann Cleeves book, this one is in the Vera series. I have several of hers to read already but if I spot on for a pound I will build up the supply.
I went to Boyes when we came home as I havoc decided to put press studs on the straps of the dungarees as I couldn’t manage to do the ties on my own. Decided to put two stud halves on the straps so that I could make the straps long enough to slip down it I needed to go to the loo! So today, apart from getting dinner I have worked on the dungarees. Turned the hems on the legs and sewed them and cut the one pair of straps off and tidied where they had been, and then sewed on the press studs and on the dungarees and the straps. After dinner I finished off and ironed them and then thought I would try them on again! The straps popped and I couldn’t see the pockets!! Then realised I had cut of the wrong straps and had the studs at the back!!🤬
They are very nice studs!
They are fixable, but a lot more work involved, I will leave them for now and refrain from letting them end up in the bin!
On a different note when I saw Sarah and David yesterday they gave me a postcard, quite a stunning image.
Go on, swear, you know you’ll feel better if you do!
ReplyDeleteI like the iPad cover, not bad for a pound. A bit of added protection is always good. You’re getting quite a backlog of books to get through. A bit more time relaxing and reading should be on the cards I think.
Oh dear….I bet the language, in your head at least, was quite blue once you discovered the mistake! They were going so well too. I’m sure you’ll sort it out, but it’s still bloody annoying! Maybe you should hide them away for a couple of days and have a fresh start another time. You’ll laugh about it another day ……..maybe.
Brilliant postcard.
Took the shine off the day for sure! They WILL get finished though….
ReplyDeleteI bet it did ☹️
ReplyDeleteBut that’s the spirit 😊
