Bit of gardening, lot of sewing!

I went out about 8.30 this morning and made a start at clearing one side of the front garden. I don’t spend a lot of time on it as I concentrate on the areas people look at when they are passing the house, but very large weeds are appearing in the untended areas. It was overcast when I went out but then became very hot when the sun broke through, but I did an hour and removed quite a bit of stuff!

I have spent most of the rest of the day sewing, getting on with the dungarees. I finished the top just after lunch, so far so good.
I had a break from dong the legs while I got tea and then watered the gardens. It did start to spit a bit and after that rained quite heavily for a short while. So shouldn’t have to water tomorrow! Then I was back to the sewing, I still have to hem the bottom of the legs and need to alter the straps so that I can undo them and fix them again more easily! But the complex stuff is done and the patches didn’t all fall apart while I assemble them!

I have all the debris to clear away before I can go to bed! Will finish with foxgloves from the garden and the rather lovely orange tinged sky this evening.

  1. A very successful day. You are keen getting out there a 8.30am! But that bit does look better after an hours work. At least you didn’t catty on in the heat.
I really didn’t think you’d even start the dungarees until next week, so nearly having them finished today is amazing! They do look good and really suit you. I know you were beginning to doubt if you’d like them, so it’s great to see they look so nice on. I still don’t think Darren will go anywhere with you while you’re wearing them though 😄
Two lovely pics to finish with. The foxgloves look gorgeous and the sky definitely looks better than here as it’s throwing it down!

Feeling quite weary now, but in a good way.
