Global Forgiveness Day

That must be the most optimistic and least likely to happen special day!
Yesterday evening I made card for friends, have been making a few more cards lately.
David has severe sight impairment so I try to think of cards that are tactile.
I had a pretty disturbed night so was slow to get going this morning, but when I came to a bit I decided to tackle some more weed in the gravel. It is really bad all round the drive but decided on a not so weeded area in front of the house in the centre of the drive. I planned to use the rake to clear the gravel and then the hoe.
I stated raking back the gravel and did begins to use the hoe but then found that it was easier to actually pull out the grass and weeds so that I could remove a lot of the root.
I didn’t manage to do quite all the centre section as it was reasonably hard work but was pretty pleased with the result. Got quite a lot removed from that area.
I worked on it for a good while. The sea Holly in the front garden is looking lovely.
I wrote a couple of cards so took a walk down the road to post them, bought myself some sunflowers on the way back.
I had been going to cook for Darren and myself again but he texted to suggest we had fish and chips by the sea. I didn’t need my arm twisting! I dries a seat while Darren was waiting for the food but then it started to rain again so we ended up eating in the car. But the rain stopped so we did go and have a bit of a walk by the sea.

Have watched some tennis today and got the football on now.

  1. That’s a crap special day, and I certainly don’t forgive whoever came up with it!
The card is good. Certainly tactile and will be obvious what it is.
Considering you didn’t have a great night you managed a fair chunk of the driveway. It’s not easy raking gravel back and forth, let alone sorting out the weeds too! In theory you should sleep better tonight.
The sea holly does make a good pic. Specially with a few water drops on it. I’ve never really seen, or maybe just not noticed, shops selling bunches of sunflowers. I thought people just grew their own. Shows what I know!
Good old Darren, he knows how to treat his mum 😊 Fish and chips by the sea, even in a car is a great way to end a day.
Good luck with the boring football ⚽️

  2. They are the short, chunky sunflowers, they have been around for sale for a while now.
The gravel clearing was quite hard going but quite satisfying when you have cleared a bit.
It was a great way to round off the day, England one down in the football at the moment!
