You can never have too many plants!

No early morning walk today except to post a letter. I had another short walk to Lesley’s house as she had said she liked rhubarb and I forgot to give her some on Tuesday. She wasn’t home so I left it just inside her garden gate. The roses on the churchyard wall are gorgeous this year and they smell lovely too.
After Tina had been for her haircut we went to Eastfield garden centre for lunch. We had a good look at plants and of course bought some for the garden, quite a colourful collection.
On the way home we stopped at the duck pond at Burton Agnes. We had duck food in the car. There were workmen there and one young man was very friendly and interested in what we fed the ducks with. He was watching us but when we offered him the bag he said he was busy! I think he would have grabbed the chance if the other guys hadn’t been there! We saw some baby ducks and before we left baby geese. I tried several times to take a photo of one very pale coloured duck, have added the best one but it is not very good.

They were very hungry!
When we got home I tidied a little area in the main bed in the front with the sign in. Removed some dead bits, a quick hoe and put in four of the new plants.

I have just had a lap cat for a bit but she has moved now, so may listen to an audio book and do some drawing.

  1. Yes you can!
Even a short walk to the postbox is better than no walk at all. I’m not a roses kind of person really, but when they look as nice as that and they’re all bunched together I have to admit they do look nice, even better knowing that I don’t have to look after them!
A few more plants for the garden, well that’s unusual!😄 I think you could actually open your own nursery at the moment. You seem to have way more plants than they do! But the garden does look very nice so it’s well worth it.
Fancy trying to embarrass the poor young workman. I bet he got rid anyway for talking to the old ladies who feed ducks. Sorry Tina. It got you out though which is good. You spend far too much time at home, you should get out and explore more further afield.
How is the sign doin? It looks good in the pic. Does it need any more varnish on it yet?
You love lap cats 😊 Hope you’re enjoying your bargain boot fair audio books.

    2. A nice little trip out and we do love feeding the ducks.
The audio books are very good quality and read by famous people, so well worth the money. Think it may be raining on Sunday, which is a shame.
