Nice trip into Hull

I caught the bus into Hull this morning, had a bit of a list including looking for sun hats for Tina. I was dozing a bit on the journey but it is okay as the bus stops to refill at the bus stations! I was awake when the bus went down Dancing Lane, that just makes me smile, I would love to live in Dancing Lane! I made my way to TK MAXX first and found a couple of hats that might be okay for Tina and bought the last bag of ginger slices which I had a packet of before and they were delicious! We were waiting in the queue for a while as there was one girl serving and the first two customers both had returns. The girl went to get a senior member of staff and the lady in front of me and myself were both disbelieving when the second member of staff arrived as she had bright green hair, which was fine but also the shorted shorts ai have ever seen and short top and trainers. How things have changed!
I called in other shops and in one got another black hat, then I walked through the town. It began to rain but I made it to Whitefriargate and took a couple of photos!

I had some lunch and then made my way back to the bus station. Managed to stay awake on the journey home!
Tina liked this black hat, we didn’t take a picture of the grey one which was rather classy.
This one was the reject which I will be quite happy to wear!
I was off to see Sarah and David this evening and hear about their mini trip to Scotland. I had a walk round the garden first, the bees like this pretty plant.

Next to them this equally pretty rose bush.
And the triffids/giant sea kale are almost in full bloom.

Sarah and David bought me back this cute set of Wise Owls.
Should get back into the garden tomorrow!

  1. Glad you enjoyed your trip out. Your hat shopping went ok as they both look good. Did you wear your hat on the way home to save putting it in a bag? You should have snook a pic of the girl with the green hair 😊 Shame it decided to rain, but it doesn’t sound like it spoiled it for you.
I notice in the pic with Tina that the extractor still has a chunk missing. Had any more interlopers in the kitchen?
An evening trip out too. You are a galavant! Love your owls, very cute.
I can see why you call the sea kale triffids! Good description.
Have a day off tomorrow, the garden will still be there on Wednesday.

    1. I really did enjoy the trip and even quite enjoy the long bus rides, especially now as there are so few people on them.
I only knew a hat would be mine when I got home, but always happy to have a new hat.
      I really like the owls.
