Mad dogs and an English woman!

It has been pretty hot today and yes, ai have been in the garden, and I was out in the midday sun! But more of that later. I was up early again and after feeding cats and birds was out of the house to walk to the seafront at ten past six. A very quiet town at that time of the morning!
Some lovely poppies in the memorial gardens.

I didn’t stop out that long, had taken a drink of water with me obviously took a couple of picture.

There is an area under the dead tree where I have a lot of bird feeders which was really due for some attention. So I donned my large sun hat and worked out there for the rest of the morning.

After lunch Tina said she had a job form me to do, had me trying to find, and then clean calligraphy pens. The inside sheet was just written up with a define top pen.

Then, despite the heat, I went out to finish what I started. Not strictly true, I finished doing the first clearing. There is an area left with the ground elder, when Darren and
Tina were clearing the back of the bed there was a frog  there as it is damp. So I decided to leave a small area along in case it is still be used by frogs.
I supported the hollyhocks and the sunflowers that are growing from the bird seed. They were all very leggy and thin as they had been fighting with all the weed and ground elder.
The flower that starts off in a casing is now opening up, pretty bell flowers.
I will finish with the evidence of my weird mind, I was looking out of the kitchen window and suddenly though that the foxgloves looked like seahorses!

  1. The title is extremely appropriate for you! I have to say I do like your early morning walks, really should try it myself, but without the sea don’t have a great deal of incentive. You do manage to get some great pictures in the mornings though.
You are mad going out in that garden with or without a sun hat at the hottest part of the day. The words stubborn old bugger come to mind 😊 mind you the finished result of that bed does make it worth it I suppose.
The wedding register looks brilliant, and I bet Tina is well chuffed with that. Not an easy task to do, and certainly not one I would want to do as I can almost guarantee I’d make a mistake somewhere!
I don’t think you’re weird because you can see seahorses, I saw them straight away when I looked at the picture. So maybe we’re both weird!

    1. Getting the pens out created a bit of variety today! One of those other things I often plan to do more regularly but never do!
It is quiet in the mornings, especially the particularly early starts, but I always see dog walkers and occasionally folk like me with no dog!
Glad you could see sea horses too.
