Garden sale!

It has been a full day on a different way. Today was the garage sale around the town and people could get a map and go to stalls at nearly fifty different locations, I set up a stall on the corner lawn and Sal and Carol set up round the main lawn as they have lots of tables and do boot sales regularly. We were getting set up before eight and cleared away for three this afternoon, so a long day in the sun but I wore my big sun hat! I was selling things really cheap as the intention was not so much about the money but shifting a good amount of the stuff. In the end I sold a lot and did better on the takings that I thought I would. Sal and Carol had a good day too. I took one photo of the garden and one of Carol sitting on the wall.

After the link up call with America I went round to the church to help Tina set up. Work is being done and one window has been removed now so it looks quite different.

When we were on the way to the church there was a wood pigeon that was injured in the garden. We knew the cats were in so thought we would catch it on our return. No sign of it then so we came indoors and waited for the grocery delivery which was later because of the sale in the garden. After tea I cam upstairs and was just going to watch Casualty when Tina called that the pigeon was still around! We managed to corner it and I caught it with some difficulty as it was falling its wings and panicking. When I did catch it I had blood on my hands,, we think from the wing as it was quite lively. Once boxed we took it in the car to Beverley to a place that rescues animals. The lady said they would see what they could and we came home, getting on the 10 pm by then. Quite an end to the day and enough bird traumas now!!
