This afternoon Lesley came round at 2 pm and we spent an hour in the garden. Lesley did some weeding at the the back of the big bed in the front garden and I weeded the fairly garden and moved the bench out as it was very weedy underneath. I also pulled out some weed for the gravel path and cut back one of the trees that was hanging well over the drive. Then we had a cuppa and chatted for an hour. She won’t be around for a couple of weeks now but will come and help again after that.
Mike had sent a little digital microscope for looking at circuit boards to Darren as he has upgraded to a better one. Darren didn’t have one and was keen to undo his package when he got home!
He was home in good time and that gave him the chance to set it up before leaving for archery.
Tina had some letters to deliver so I went along and then we stopped at Morrow Avenue car park so we could look at the see and the sunken garden. We didn’t stop out long as it had turned pretty chilly.
So, a relatively quiet day today, maybe my energy levels will pick up tomorrow!
Sounds as though you’ve managed to fit a fair bit in again today, not as much as usual but that’s a good thing. Changing the bed is a big enough job on its own, duvet covers are a real pain!
ReplyDeleteI’m really pleased that Darren can make use of that microscope, as it would’ve just sat on my shelf unused. It certainly does help as your eyes get that bit older, that’s why I needed a better one 😊
Your little trip out this evening looks quite nice from the pictures. It certainly hasn’t turned chilly here this evening as it’s still very hot, but then we haven’t got a nice cool breeze blowing across the sea.
Quite a pleasant day really and nice to see the sea at the end of it.
ReplyDeleteIf it is cloudy tomorrow I will get into that garden again!
