After a cuppa I went back out, took a while getting them to lay flat, they will bed I better when we have had some rain.
This very pretty daffodil has bloomed in the front garden.
After lunch I cut down a picture and put it into a new frame. This picture, ‘after Peter Scott’ was in Darren’s student house many years ago, a while ago the frame broke and it has been in the cupboard. When I have been sorting I took the picture out of this frame and it is the right size.
This afternoon Lesley came round to see the back garden and to do some weeding. We worked for about an hour and then had another hour or so over a cuppa in the garden getting to know a bit about each other. Hopefully this will become a regular get together,
This evening Tina helped me do some watering in the front garden.
May go out on the bus tomorrow, it has been a while!
You’ve done a great job on that bit of front garden. It looks so different to when you started. Putting the slabs back makes it look even better. Not really sure you should be digging and humping slabs about, but you never take any notice anyway. Stubborn old bugger! 😊
ReplyDeleteGlad your meeting with Lesley went ok. It’ll be good as a regular meet up. Sounds like you both get on well.
Like your pic of the daffodil. It looks good as the main focus, but the bits behind finish it off nicely.
Hopefully it’ll be another nice day tomorrow so you can have your bus trip. Things are gradually getting back to normal..ish.
It was good to get that particular garden job done as it was a fairly big job and I had been putting it off.
DeleteNice to have Lesley round who will hopefully become a friend as well as a garden buddy.
