We didn’t have the snow that was forecast but it was cold and the bird baths were frozen again.it was bright and sunny but the wind was very cold. Our local post office opens to take in packages on Sundays and bank holidays, they don’t get collected until a working day but you can get things there to go out with the first collection.I had another package to send so walked down there fairly early and then walked up to see the sea. As it was quite early and pretty cold I was there before too many people were around. The sea look d stunning so quite a selection of photos, some similar but all a bit different.After lunch I went out again as I was feeling very restless today. I thought I would walk out of town passing Tesco and heading towards the foot path by the mere. It is quite a way to the start, I took a couple of pictures on the way as you could see glimpses of the mere.
Then just three while I was on the footpath.
Not sure if this is a weed or a stray plant, but it was attractive as I walked back.
Took this from a bench where I sat for a short rest.
I did some ironing for about an hour this afternoon, so a reasonably busy day. And certainly more walking in one day than I have done for a while.
We had a little bit of snow here too but it didn’t last very long. It’s been a reasonable day though.
ReplyDeleteThe walk to the sea this morning was well worth the effort even if it was a bit chilly. Some cracking pictures. I love the way the light glitters on the water in some of them.
I’m not surprised you went out again this afternoon as it looks as though the weather was smashing. Some nice blue skies. In fact some really good pictures yet again. It really has been a picture heavy day today but all of them good. That’s the sort of day you want when you wandering about with your camera. I have to say that I think my favourite is the last one yet again.
Lots of exercise and some good pictures, what more could you ask for?
A pretty full day in the end and not feeling too bad considering. Managing slightly longer walks so going in the right direction. As you say, good weather for walking and taking photos!
